Travel by boat for approximately 45mintues (through open sea) to Sarawak’s first Marine National Park. Visit the turtle conservation and learn the objectives of the conservation program. The park wardens will show you on how the eggs remove from the nests and placed it in guarded hatcheries.

Proceed to Stang Island where you will be amazed by its beautiful white sandy beach for snorkeling. Return to Kuching in the late evening.



Note : Dolphin, Proboscis Monkeys, Crocodile & Bird watching are wild creatures therefore sightings cannot be guaranteed although the chances to see them a high success.

This 5combination tours in 1day is worth to do and must not miss out during your trip to Kuching. These special combination tours is only available during April until September each.

Depart from your hotel as early as 0730hrs and proceed to Stantubong Boat Club. We then take a motorised boat and meander along the Santubong River mouth in search for rare Irrawady dolphins. The boat ride continue to Salak River and Kuching Wetland in search for wildlife and birdlife such a Proboscis Monkey, crocodile, monitor lizards, kingfishers, white-bellied sea eagles and etc. Later in the afternoon, a visit to turtle conservation and hatchery area and learn the objective of the programme where the park wardens will show you on how the eggs remove from the nests and placed it in guarded hatcheries. Snorkeling at Satang Island is one of the very interesting and unforgetable tours before we return to Kuching in the late evening.

01 night accommodation at camp site, transfer between Kuching city hotel – Sematan, boat fee, permits, English speaking guide, meals and tours as detailed in itinerary. (snorkeling equipment is not included)

Itinerary

You will be transferred from Kuching to Sematan for approximately 2 hours and continues by boat ride for another 40minutes to Tanjung Datu National Park. Register on arrival Park HQ. A guided tour will lead you to Viewpoint Trail at Tanjung Gadong, an 80m high cliff-top that offers superb views of the entire shoreline of the park. If time permits you will be taken to another trail before return to the park HQ. Take a dip at crystal clear water South China Sea for swimming or snorkeling before our dinner. Overnight at Campsite.

This morning after breakfast, you once again continue for other trail and admire the amazing collections of plants and trees of the varying vegetation at the park before we return to Kuching.

Note!

Prepare yourself with field attires and gears for comfortable and safety in very natural setting. Proper footwear like training shoes or light jungle boots is suitable as the trails can be very slippery after rain. Drinking water, snack is necessary for long walks and hikes in the park, bath towel, face towel, personal first aid kit, personal toiletries, insect repellent, sun lotion, torchlight/flashlight, extra bulb & batteries, raincoat/poncho, alcoholic drink, and other items you think is necessary to bring.

Remarks!

Do not forget to wrap your belongings in the plastic bag when packing to avoid it get wet during river transfer.

Tour Itinerary

Leaving Kuching city at 0800 hours for approximately 2 hours drive to Sematan and then continue by another 40minutes boat ride to Tanjung Datu National Park. You definitely will be amazed by the white sandy beach and crystal clear water South China Sea as we going to Park HQ for register. Trek for approximately 20minutes from Park HQ to Viewpoint Trail that offers superb views of the entire shoreline of the park. Continue trek to Pasir Antu Laut Trail for approximately 2hours each way. Return to the Park HQ in the late afternoon and refresh yourself at crystal clear water beach before our dinner. Overnight at Campsite.

This morning after breakfast, we begin our exciting moment trekking 2km of Belian Trail to the peak of Gunung Melano, some 542 meters above sea level (trekking approximately 2 – 2 ½ hours depends on your fitness level). If time permits, you will be taken to Telok Melano Trail that will lead us to nearby fishing village (subject to tide conditions). Return to Campsite in the late afternoon. Lunch and dinner included. Overnight at Campsite.

After breakfast is your free time to explore the park by our own before we return to Kuching.

Saturday Night Market/Sunday Market offers a wide range of thing from fresh jungle produce and livestock to unusual local herbs, fruits, plants, insects, handicrafts, souvenir, antiques and etc. a little reminder for those who join this tour. Wear shoes when you are entering fish and chicken area. Those are wet in nature and the traders might not be ashamed to splash some water to your feet!

Established in 1983, covering an area of 4,104 hectares, located in the Lundu district southwest of Sarawak. The area well knows for the flower Rafflesia. Seeing a blooming Rafflesia is certainly the highlight of trip to Gunung Gading. However, if there is no luck in seeing this Rafflesia, swim in jungle streams, go hiking along the jungle trails, walking in the park and visiting the beaches and the whole of Lundu will make your visiting just as worthwhile.

Open every Saturday and Sunday for half day. The journey takes approximately 1 ½ hours drive from Kuching and offers a range of souvenir items such as rattan mat, wood carved items, marble items, batik and many more for you to bargain.

The Fairy Cave was previously knows as “Gua Kapor” in the past. Located at Southern part of Bau Some 28km from Kuching. Flashlight/torchlight is essential to explore the rock formations within.

The Wind Cave probably received its name from the draft of air that passes through the passage leading to Sungai Sarawak Kanan on which it situated. Located in the limestone area of Bau to the southwest of Kuching. This soft adventure caving enables you to marvel at the sights the of wonderful formations of stalagmites and stalactites.
