What is included in our tour package?

01 night accommodation at Benarat Lodge or Royal Mulu Resort with breakfast, 02 nights at Camp5, English speaking guide, entrance ticket to places of visited, permit to climb Pinnacles, land & river transfer.

Tour Itinerary

Meet on arrival at Mulu airport and then you will be transferred to your accommodation for check in. In the late afternoon, a guided walks will lead you to the Park HQ for registration and begins our 3km plank walk that passes through peat swamp, alluvial flats and limestone outcrops to Deer Cave. Continues with a short distance away from the cave is Lang’s Cave. The smallest cave of the show caves but its rock formations are well worth seeing. Lang’s Cave looks more attractive with strategically positioned spotlights that highlight stalactites and stalagmites. Before you return to your accommodation, witness the spectacular sight of black cloud of free-tailed bats emerging from the entrance of the cave in searching for food. Dinner included.

Today after breakfast, you will be taken for boat ride to Penan Settlement where you can bargain for souvenir or just listen to these ones nomadic tribes of Sarawak regale you with fascinating stories of headhunters, tribe’s wars and witchcraft folklores tales. Then we begin our tour to Clearwater Cave. A plank walks from the riverbank to the entrance of Wind Cave which is part of Clearwater Cave system has many impressive stalactites, stalagmites, flow rocks helitites and rock corals and some of which are illuminated in the “Kings Room”. Return with boat ride to a picnic area near the entrance of Clearwater Cave for picnic. Continue by boat ride for approximately 1 – 2 hours along the Melinau River to Kuala Berar.* If the water level is low these become strenuous as the boat has to be pulled over rapids so the trip takes longer. Trek for 8km through beautiful rainforest from Kuala Berar taking 2 – 3 hours approximately to Base Camp 5 which near the Melinau Gorge that separates Gunung Benarat from Gunung Api. Overnight at Camp 5 in the hostel style accommodation. The remaining time is free at leisure. Refresh yourself at crystal clear water after the long walk. Dinner is provided.

The real hiking is begins after your breakfast. Trek for 2.4 km from Camp 5 to the viewpoint at 1,200 meter can be reach for approximately 5 hours (non experience climbers). The Pinnacles of Mulu National Park is collection of 45 Meter high, razor-sharp limestone needles that cling to the side of Gunung Api. This is the best part; descent is actually more challenging and difficult. Be warned, its can take up to 10 hours depending on fitness level. Return to the Camp 5 for refreshing swim before dinner. **Packet lunch is provided during your climb**

Breakfast at Camp 5 and then we return to Kuala Berar or Long Litut for leisurely longboat ride back to Mulu airport for your flight home.
